Questions about the protection spell against negative energy
Does a protection spell harm the person it shields against?
No. This is defensive work only. The ritual builds a boundary around you rather than sending anything toward them. What tends to change is that their words and moods stop landing on you with the same weight, and people who feed on reaction often lose interest once nothing comes back.
I do not know who or what is causing the bad run. Can it still be cast?
Yes. A named source lets Tara aim the shield, but a general protection casting, covering your home, your energy, and your sleep, needs only your own name. If the heaviness has a source, the working tends to make it more visible over time, which is information in itself.
How long does the protection last?
Tara describes her shields as strong for a season, roughly a few months, then fading like any barrier that weathers. If the situation that required it is still active, have it recast. Many people with long-running difficult circumstances return quarterly, which is exactly how this work was traditionally maintained.
